Connect Tracearr
Add Tracearr to Kochab with a bearer token and default port 3000.
Tracearr aggregates viewing activity across Plex and Jellyfin. Kochab uses its Bearer-authenticated API as a combined activity source.
What Kochab exposes through Tracearr
- Activity tab: merged now playing across configured servers (deduped against direct Plex/Jellyfin when both exist)
- Detail surface: stream count and link to Activity
- Push: rule violation notifications when configured
Not exposed through Tracearr
Tracearr admin (rules, webhooks, full analytics UI) stays in Tracearr’s dashboard. Tracearr is read-oriented for playback state; terminating a stream goes through the underlying media server APIs Kochab may also have connected.
Before you start
In Tracearr: open Settings and copy your API token (used as a Bearer token).
Default connection
| Field | Typical value |
|---|---|
| Port | 3000 (Tracearr default; yours may differ) |
| Scheme | http on LAN, https behind a reverse proxy |
| Auth | Authorization: Bearer <token> |
Add in Kochab
- Open Services -> Add service and choose Tracearr.
- Enter your host.
- Set the port Tracearr listens on (often 3000).
- Paste the API token.
- Tap Test and add.
Tips
- Tracearr can report the same stream as a direct Plex or Jellyfin connection; Kochab deduplicates when both are present.
