FAQ

Common questions, straight answers.

The things buyers ask before they pay, and the things users ask after. Email hello@kochab.io if yours is not here.

What is Kochab?

Kochab is a cross-platform mobile app for managing a self-hosted media stack from your phone. Sonarr, Radarr, download clients, requests, media-server activity, and host signals in one operator surface, on iOS and Android. Pay once, own it.

Is Kochab a media player?

No. Kochab is a management app for the services that run your stack, not a player. It surfaces queue, library, requests, activity, and health, and lets you act on them from your phone.

Does Kochab work away from home?

Yes. The app talks to whatever address you configure per service, internal or external. Push notifications reach your phone wherever it is, via a data-only relay that carries no media titles.

Is my data sent anywhere?

Your phone talks directly to your own servers. Credentials live in your device's secure keychain. Kochab does not operate a service that receives or stores your library data, queue contents, or media. Push notifications carry only a device token and a category, never titles or file names.

What happens if Kochab stops being maintained?

The app keeps working. Because it talks directly to your services, the only thing that depends on us is the push relay. If we ever stop maintaining Kochab, you keep managing your stack from the app you already paid for; push is the only feature that would degrade.

Will my deal change if pricing goes up later?

No. Existing buyers keep the features they paid for, at no additional cost, even if the price increases for new buyers. The grandfathering promise is part of the terms.

How do refunds work?

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective store policies. Kochab cannot issue refunds or modify store transactions directly.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email hello@kochab.io with what you are seeing or what you want added. Include the service, the app version, and a short description. Bug reports and feature requests shape the roadmap.
