Connect Overseerr

Add Overseerr to Kochab with your API key and default port 5055.

Overseerr handles media requests for Plex. Kochab uses the Seerr API for the Requests tab.

In Kochab the service type is labeled Seerr (shared with Jellyseerr).

What Kochab exposes through Overseerr

  • Requests tab: pending, approved, available, and declined requests with approve/decline, edit, retry, and delete where the API allows
  • Detail surface: pending/total request counts and link into Requests
  • Push: new request and approved/denied notifications when configured

Not exposed through Overseerr

User management, Plex/Jellyfin server wiring, discovery settings, and OAuth for household users stay in Overseerr’s web UI. Now playing uses Plex (or Tracearr) separately.

Before you start

In Overseerr: Settings -> General -> API Key. Copy the key shown there.

Default connection

  1. Open Services -> Add service and choose Seerr.
  2. Enter your host.
  3. Set port 5055 unless you use a custom port or proxy.
  4. Paste the API key.
